A second-year nursing student at Tompkins Cortland Community College has been named an official member of the school’s Board of Trustees for the 2020-21 academic year.

Adebodun Ademoyo, of Binghamton, will represent his peers as a full voting board member. As a freshman at Tompkins Cortland, he was a member of the College’s soccer team and excelled academically.

He made the Dean’s List twice, received the President’s Citation for completing 30 credit hours with a GPA above 3.8, and was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

TC3’s Board of Trustees consists of 10 members, including the student trustee. The other nine members are from the community and serve seven-year terms.

The governor appoints four trustees — two each from Tompkins and Cortland Counties — the Cortland County Legislature appoints two; and the Tompkins County Legislature appoints three.
