The Cortland County District Attorney’s Office is one of the presenters of a program called “High in Plain Sight,” to prevent youth substance abuse.
Officer Jermaine Galloway travels the country speaking to students, and separately to parents.
Galloway told WXHC he prefers to point out drug trends and helps students and parents notice the signs of the drug culture in their community.
He says it’s up to students and parents how they use the information he shares.
The program is called: Tall Cop Says Stop – You Can’t Stop What You Don’t Know.
Galloway is 6’9″ tall, hence his nickname “Tall Cop.”
Officer Jermaine Galloway invites the community to the Cortland Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium Wednesday night at 7.
The presentation is free and co-sponsored by Cortland Prevention Resources and Family Counseling Services.
