Tomorrow (February 28) is the final day for applications to become the next superintendent of the Cortland Enlarged School District.
Following Michael Hoose’s announcement last month of his plans to retire the end of the current school year, Board of Education officials led an open application search they say has resulted in several candidates submitting for the position.
At this point, none of those names have been officially announced.
The Board also brought on TST BOCES District Superintendent Dr. Jeffrey A. Matteson to help with the process.
In order to allow the community a chance to offer input on the final decision, an online survey was developed and is available until March 15.
District officials say their goal is to have Hoose’s successor in place by July 2020.
