Taco Bell Breaks Ground on Newest Location in Cortlandville – Anticipated to Open in August


The rain didn’t stop the excitement of the newest Taco Bell breaking ground. Officials from the Town of Cortlandville, and Cortland Area Chamber of Commerce attended the event with officials from the Hospitality Restaurant Group, owners of the Taco Bell franchise.

The Hospitality Restaurant Group (HRG) currently operates over 100 restaurants with over 3,000 people employed in six states. The company has been recognized multiple times as one of the country’s largest and most successful franchisees.

Cortland Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Bob Haight spoke on how the ownership of this new franchise location is local with owners residing in both LaFayette and in the Syracuse area.

Deputy Supervisor for the Town of Cortlandville, Jeff Guido spoke of the new Taco Bell location as a sign of positive economic growth within the Town of Cortlandville, especially along the Route 13 corridor.

“This new Taco Bell will be located on the former bank property that has been vacant for several years. This is a prime location and we’re [Town of Cortlandville] excited to see it transform into a vibrant new business that will serve our community for many years to come.”

Deputy Supervisor Guido said.

If everything goes according to schedule, the new restaurant is anticipated to open sometime in early August. The new restaurant will be open every day starting at 7:00am with breakfast and
open till 3:00am Breakfast will be available daily from 7:00am to 11:00am (a full menu will be available starting at 9:00am).
