Syracuse has been ranked number 5 in best cities for Veterans to live, according to LawnStarter.com.
The ranking looked at cities with a high population of Veterans and their access to support resources such as VA facilities, nonprofit organizations, and PTSD recovery programs.
It also looked at the affordability of housing and employment and educational opportunities.
Syracuse was noted for having high Mental and Medical Health Care access. The city has the third highest number of VA health facilities per 10,000 vets.
The best city listed on the ranking was Providence, RI and the worst city for Veterans was Sunyvale, CA. California topped the entire list of the 10 worst cities for Veterans.
