He’s listening, to prepare for the Synod of Bishops next year.
Diocese of Syracuse Bishop Douglas Lucia plans a series of listening sessions around the diocese. The first is at 1 pm this Sunday in Binghamton, followed in the next two Sundays in Utica and in Syracuse.
The Bishop says he is particularly interested in hearing from those “on the margins” of the Church; those who feel unwelcome or alienated.
The sessions will be held at 1 p.m. on three Sundays during Lent:
Sunday, March 13, for the Southern Region at Seton Catholic Central High School in Binghamton.
Sunday, March 20, for the Eastern Region at Notre Dame High School in Utica.
Sunday, April 3, for the Western and Northern Regions at Bishop Harrison Center in Syracuse.
