ORIGINAL POST – AUGUST 4

Way2Go Cortland – the Mobility Management branch of Seven Valleys Health Coalition – has released a series of community surveys that will be used to update the Cortland County Coordinated Transportation Plan.

This plan is updated about every five years and helps the county qualify for state and federal funding.

It’s expected to be completed by the end of 2020.

There are a total of four surveys playing into this process. One is for the general public, another os for people who use Cortland Transit services, a third is for employers and the final is for agencies and providers of transportation.

“The surveys will help us assess local transportation needs, as well as available resources throughout the community,” said SVHC Mobility Manager Catherine Wilde. “The data you provide will also help us determine the transportation barriers that exist in the community in order to ultimately make recommendations about enhancing available services and reducing redundancies.”

County residents are being asked to take a moment to complete the surveys if they haven’t already done so.

Ridership surveys are being distributed in paper form to riders on the buses, with all other surveys available here.
