Suspicious Suspects in Bathroom Leads to Large Drug Bust by Sheriff

On Friday, November 25th, the Cortland County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to Franks Place on 3674 Route 13 in the Town of Truxton for a call of two females that were acting suspicious in the store’s bathroom.




Through an investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Office, Officer’s found 95 bags of heroin, nearly 2 grams of Cocaine and an undisclosed amount of US currency on 51 year old Romika L. Desantis of Oneida.

The drugs found during the investigation had a street value of over $1,150 dollars. Desantis was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd, a Felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th, a Misdemeanor.

Due to Bail Reform in the state, Desantis was released. She is due back in Town of Truxton Court at a later date.
