Suspicious Person Call Leads to One Arrest in Cortlandville
Around 1 in the morning on Saturday, November 29th, officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the Sherbrook Apartments in Cortlandville for a suspicious person in the area.
Arriving in the area, officers located 34 year old Ian M. Beck, who is listed as homeless. The Sheriff’s Office says Beck had an active arrest warrant out of the Sheriff’s Office during their investigation.
Beck was taken into custody for his arrest warrant and was then found to be in possession of a controlled substance. Officers charged Beck with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th, a Misdemeanor. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing and was later arraigned via the Centralized Arraignment Process for his arrest warrant. Beck was issued an appearance ticket for his newest charge. He is due in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
