Suspicions Validated In Ithaca Arrest

Ithaca Police say someone told them they were suspicious about a man in a parked vehicle on South Meadow Street in Ithaca. and it led to a drug arrest.

It led to a drug arrest a week ago Sunday at 6 am.

Benjamin Spradlin, 40, of Ithaca was found with 26 grams of crack, 8 grams of heroin, a stun gun, a “ninja” star and 8-thousand dollars worth of US Savings Bonds believed stolen in a local burglary, according to police.

A search of Spradlin’s vehicle turned up additional items from local burglaries and a gun, according to information provided by Ithaca Police.

Charges against Spradlin are for the controlled substance, weapons, and stolen property.
