SUNY suspends ACT/SAT requirement at universities

Local News

SUNY officials announced several actions directly impacting campuses and new students, including the temporary suspension of SAT and ACT requirements.

That would apply to any rising high school seniors attempting to enroll at a four-year SUNY campus in the spring/ fall of 2021 and spring 2022 cycles only.

The SUNY Board of Trustees says it will also strongly encourage the boards of its 30 community colleges to do the same.

Anyone who already took or plans to take the tests and still wants to submit their results can still have them counted in their official application review.

Additionally, SUNY officials expanded the Veterans Application Fee Waiver program to include active military, their spouses, and dependents. That takes effect immediately.
