SUNY Cortland will be a part of other SUNY, CUNY, and 40 Private colleges and universities who will waive application fees during College Application Month. This is the first time the schools have joined together in waiving application fees for students applying during the state’s application month.
“Education is the backbone of our society, and I am committed to providing opportunities that support every student’s journey to a higher education,” Governor Hochul said.
The waiving of application fees will take place from October 16th through the 29th. Fee waivers at private schools will vary by the institution during the month. This month has been proclaimed by Governor Hochul as College Application Month in New York State. The proclamation is to raise awareness of the higher education opportunities within the state and support students seeking to pursue higher education.
