SUNY Cortland’s Big Event Returning Next Month

SUNY Cortland says the annual “Big Event” will once again return and take place on April 13th. The Big Event is a student-led community outreach event where students at SUNY Cortland volunteer their time for those in the Cortland Community. Students will help with trash cleanup, leaf raking and more. 

The Big Event began back in 2015 by Ashlee Prewitt and is now organized by SUNY Cortland’s Student Government Association. Jobsite requests by residents are still being accepted through March 23rd. All jobsites must have a supervisor on location the day of the Big Event and must also be the point of contact for all communication prior to the event. Students are expected to arrive at a jobsite around 10am on April 13th.
