Tomorrow, SUNY Cortland University Police and the Allegheny Sheriff’s Office join forces with several organizations to host a Regional Health and Wellness Symposium on the SUNY Cortland campus for first responders across New York State.
More than 160 first responders from across New York from all different public safety fields are registered to attend. The gathering is being held to help first responders in the Empire State deal with their demanding jobs and adopt health and wellness strategies to aid in managing the extreme stress and experiences public safety professionals encounter regularly.
Throughout the day of the event, there will be presentations that highlight successful wellness programs currently in operation, and will provide attendees with a diverse range of options to either establish their own wellness programs or enhance existing initiatives.
