As Ithaca College grapples with issues of race, SUNY Cortland is holding a second town hall meeting tonight to discuss race, discrimination and how to move the college forward.
After receiving positive feedback during a meeting on race and bias on the campus back on November 17th, Suny Cortland Administration and the Black Student Union have decided to hold another meeting to continue the discussion.
The follow-up will allow more time for the college community to ask questions and provide feedback College President Erik Bitterbaum and his Cabinet.
During the Nov. 17th talk, six student leaders joined President Bitterbaum and college leaders to talk about incidents of racism they have experienced while attending SUNY Cortland and offer ideas for improvement.
Audience members are encouraged to join the Facebook event and to continue using #BSUCortlandTownHall on social media.
The meeting tonight starts at 5 o’clock and will be held in Old Main’s Brown Auditorium.
