The streets that were milled earlier this month are now set to be paved beginning this Wednesday, July 31st. A full list of the street paving and expected start dates can be found below.

  • 8/6 – MacGregor
  • 8/6 – Sheridan
  • 8/7 – Huntington (Top Course)

*Helen and Pendleton will only be paved on these dates if the new curbing has been completed*

In addition to the paving projects, there will also be four streets that will have Suit-Kote cape seal beginning on August 1st. Cape sealing can extend the life of street pavement that is in good condition. The process is done in two steps.

The first steps consists of a chip seal treatment which is a layer of asphalt emulsion followed by a layer of stone. Then in two weeks, the layer of stone is covered with a layer of micro-surfacing.

The streets to be Cape Sealed are:

  • Pearn Street beginning at 8am
  • Grant Street at 9:30am
  • Crandall Street at 11am
  • Valley View Drive at 1pm

“Door hangers to the residents on these streets for advanced notice of this process and scheduled date. Suit-Kote will provide another notice the day before they begin this process, which will also provide instructions to not park on the street.” Crown City Rising says.

Lastly, NYSEG will begin their project on replacing a natural gas main and gas services for properties on River Street between Cleveland and Port Watson Street. The project will take months until completion and alternate lanes of travel will occur with limited access to properties at times.
