STOP-DWI High Visibility Engagement Campaign Announced by Sheriff’s Office

The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office, along with other police agencies throughout the area, will be participating in the STOP-DWI High Visibility Engagement Campaign from November 27th through December 1st.

The campaign will have motorists see an increase in patrols in marked and unmarked police vehicles, and DWI check-points during the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.

The campaign’s focus is to reduce the dangers of drunk and impaired driving. A free app is available for those who plan to go out and drink that can find them a safe ride home. The app, Have a Plan, is free to download on your smartphone. More information on the app may be found HERE.
