Deputies with the County Sheriff’s Office got the initial complaint Sunday (April 18) and tried searching the area to no avail.

The vehicle was returned the next morning by 26-year-old Stephanie L. Smith, but the other stolen materials were never found.

Authorities are now looking for a 10’x6’ Ventura Boats utility trailer with wood sides and the rear gate removed. It was being used to tow a custom go-kart, which also remains unaccounted for.

Information should be sent to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division by calling (607)758-6151.

Smith was arraigned, then released on her own recognizance. She’s scheduled to appear in Cortlandville Town Court on June 7.
