The Tompkins County Board of Elections is having an 2023 “I Voted” sticker contest for students in grades 9 to 12 in Tompkins County. A winning sticker will be printed by the Board of Elections and used for the 2023 General Election in December.

Students are encouraged to create a new design of the famous “I Voted” stickers voters receive after casting their ballot during an election. The goal of this competition is to encourage more voting and civic engagement by the public.

Rules for the sticker design include the work must say “I Voted” somewhere visible, and must then fit in a 2-inch by 2-inch circle.

The Board of Elections hopes to have more young people involved so when they turn 18, they will be excited about voting.
