Reports came in of shots fired in Dryden yesterday (March 12) and the suspect still is still on the loose.

State Police were called to the scene on the 1100 block of Dryden Road between Turkey Hill and Baker Hill Roads just before 3:00 yesterday afternoon.

They received reports of shots being fired from inside a residence, which they later learned were coming from 32-year-old Eric J. McLaurin.

He’s described as a black male, with hazel eyes and black hair, about 5′ 10″ and 160 lbs.

A woman and young child were reportedly in the residence at the time of the call but left on their own prior to troopers arriving.

The situation was fluid for several hours with the road closed and a safe shelter put in place for residents.

After several unsuccessful attempts to make contact with McLaurin, members of the Special Operations Response Team were able to break into the residence, but they did not find him inside.

The road has now been reopened as Police continue to investigate and search for McLaurin.

If you see McLaurin do not approach him.
