State Police Offers Safety Tips For Both Pedestrians & Drivers on Halloween Night
The New York State Police have provided safety tips for both pedestrians and drivers for Halloween night. Troopers will be on patrol, along with other law enforcement agencies to ensure everyone stays safe while out and gets home safe.
Parents and/or guardians are being reminded to ensure their trick or treaters stay visible and alert. State Police say you should use sidewalks and crosswalks, stay visible with lights and/or reflective gear, travel in groups, and always check the treats given prior to eating.
Motorists are being reminded with the influx of pedestrians, to slow down in neighborhoods, watch for children at crossings, avoid any kind of distractions, and to never drive impaired.
