Update: State Police have identified the woman as 36 year old Aliyah A. Inshanalli.
State Police responded to a property on Popple Hill Road in the Town of Lisle on Tuesday, June 13th, around 3pm after receiving a 9-1-1 call.
When Troopers arrived at the undisclosed property, they found two deceased subjects, a woman and a child.
A preliminary investigation by State Police showed the 36 year old woman had intentionally caused the death of her 7 year old son before she took her own life. State Police have not released the identity of either person.
The case remains under investigation by the State Police. X101 News will provide updates once made available.
