State Police Investigating Shooting at Residence in East Homer

It was right before 6:30 Monday night when State Police were called to a residence located at 2632 Route 13 in East Homer for a shots fired call. Dispatch informed responding officers of one person who was shot.


Both TLC Ambulance and Homer Rescue were also dispatched to the call, but were informed to stage away from the scene until it was cleared by Troopers.

State Police told X101 News one person was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the leg and was transported to Upstate Medical Center for further treatment. The gun used in the shooting was also secured after the incident.

The shooting remains under investigation, State Police say. At this time, no charges have been filed or the identity of the shooter and the person shot. Assisting the New York State Police was the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.
