Around 7:20pm on Monday, June 6th in the area of 6698 Route 281 in Preble, New York State Police received a report of a possible person with a gunshot wound.
Troopers were also informed that the victim was being transported by a private vehicle to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center.
The investigation is currently on-going and there is no threat to the public.
The condition of the victim is unknown.
