State Police have identified the woman found deceased behind Cort-Lanes in Cortlandville on Sunday, February 1. Police were dispatched to the area around 11:24am for a report of a deceased individual. The woman has been identified as 73 year old Anne Lafitte, who police say was listed as homeless.
A cause of death remains under investigation. The investigation is being handled by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation at the State Police Barracks in Homer.
