State Police Identify Body of Woman Found on Route 281 in Cortlandville

State Police have identified the woman who was found deceased by the railroad crossing on Route 281 in the Town of Cortlandville just after 9 in the morning on November 25th.

Police identified her as 59 year old Robin Bowman of Findlay Ohio. State Police added it is unknown why she was in the Cortland area, but is believed to have driven to the area.

Back on November 25th, Troopers, along with TLC Ambulance, were dispatched to the railroad crossing next to Pall Trinity on Route 281 for a report of a deceased individual. State Police said at the time of the discovery of the body she was described as a middle-aged woman, but didn’t have identification.

A cause of death is still being determined and the investigation remains ongoing.
