State Police Asking For Assistance Identifying Person Who Used Stolen Debit Card

New York State Police are seeking public assistance in identifying a woman who attempted to withdraw money from a stolen debit card at a Tompkins Community Bank drive-thru in Downtown Cortland.


State Police say on November 16th, Troopers received a report of a vehicle that was broken into at the YMCA in the Town of Lansing. The passenger window to the vehicle was broken and a wallet was taken from the vehicle.

Troopers say since the incident in November, a debit card that was in the stolen wallet was used in an attempt to withdraw money from the victims account.

Anyone who can identify the woman is asked to contact SP Ithaca at 607-347-4440 with reference incident #11713372.
