New York State Police have made an arrest on Tuesday, after an investigation of a jet ski and trailer stolen from a residence on Merrill Creek Road in Marathon.
Troopers arrested 28 year old Benjamin C. Truitt of Marathon, charging him with Grand Larceny in the 4th.
The investigation found that Truitt had hooked the trailer with the jet ski on it to a vehicle and removed it from the property where he then put it in the backyard of a residence on Front Street.
Both the trailer and jet ski were returned to the rightful owner.
Truitt was transported to SP Marathon for processing and issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to be in Marathon Court next month.
