With the Labor Day Weekend kicking off today, the New York State Fair is alerting fair goers of increased traffic, especially with a concert planned for this evening at the Lakeview Amphitheater.
The show tonight is sold out and with this, the orange lot at the fairgrounds will be closed from 11am to 4pm today. Motorists headed to the fair will be redirected to Willis Ave. parking lot. The Orange lot is anticipated to reopen around 4pm to ensure visitors to both the fair and concert are able to park.

Those parking at Willis Ave. lot and are going to the fair and the concert may use the Fair’s Main Gate as a transfer point. Shuttles will run continuously from Willis, The Fair, and the Orange lot, organizers say.
Park-N-Ride options are still available for those not wishing to park near the fairgrounds. Those locations are at the Centro Transit Hub, Destiny USA, and Long Branch Park in Liverpool. Services run until 10:30pm and are $1 for adults, $.50 for those with a disability, seniors and children 6 to 9 years old. Parking at a Park-N-Ride location is free.
