State DEC Commissioner Basil Seggos has announced Environmental Conservation Police Officers are advancing an endeavor this big game hunting season called “Operation Safe Harvest”.
The initiative is designed to ensure that hunters are following the Empire State’s hunting laws and safety guidelines while out in the field. Officers will be patrolling and conducting various operations to help make sure a safe and enjoyable big game hunting season is had by all during this period of time.
Since the enforcement period began October 22nd, DEC police have written nearly 150 tickets, including 50 misdemeanor level charges.
