State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli released a report yesterday looking at the comparative fiscal stress of New York’s many school districts.
Both Cortland City School District and Marathon Central School District are on a list those considered “susceptible” to fiscal stress, derived from scores drawn out in the full report.
Those scores are based on financial information submitted as part of each district’s ST-3 financial report filed with the State Education Department as of December 28 of last year.
The latest report does not include scores for the dependent school districts in the “Big Four” cities of Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse and Yonkers.
Information for these districts will be incorporated into the report later on this year.
