Spring Grant Applications Open For Dryden Youth Opportunity Fund

Organizers of the Dryden Youth Opportunity Fund (DYOF) have announced that applications are now being accepted for the spring grant cycle.

The fund awards grants twice a year to support the long-term benefit of youth in the Dryden area. DYOF focuses on innovative and creative programs and activities that enhance education beyond the basic requirements of public schooling.

According to the organization, grant funds may be used to supplement educational and extracurricular activities typically supported by school budgets. However, the grants are not intended to replace existing budgeted programs.

To be eligible, applicants must be sponsored by a nonprofit organization that serves Dryden youth. A board of community volunteers will review all applications in April. The application deadline is April 1.

Since its founding more than 20 years ago, DYOF has awarded over $200,000 to support enrichment programs and activities benefiting youth in the Dryden area. More information is available at DYOF.org.
