The New York Giants have hired Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur to be their new head coach.

The Arizona Cardinals have hired Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks as their next head coach.

The Cleveland Browns have hired former Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Todd Haley.

The Milwaukee Bucks have fired head coach Jason Kidd.

It’s reported that the Chicago Cubs are in talks with free-agent pitcher Yu Darvish. However, the Rangers, Brewers, Twins and Yankees have also expressed interest in signing Darvish.

Villanova, Virginia and Purdue remain atop the Associated Press college basketeball poll. Duke moved up a spot to No. 4, while Kansas jumped five spots to No. 5. However, perhaps the biggest news is that Kentucky fell out of the Top 25 for the first time since March 2014.

Danica Patrick has lined up a ride for her final Daytona 500 next month. It’ll be a case of déjà vu as Danica will drive the number-7 Chevrolet with Go Daddy as her sponsor and Tony Eury Jr. as her crew chief. That was the same combination Danica broke into NASCAR with after her move from Indy Car.
