The New York Giants’ Odell Beckham Jr. was picked for the cover of the game “Madden 16”. People are wondering if Beckham is going to get the Madden curse. Out of the 18 players put on the cover, 17 have had troubles or an abruptly short season.

MLB
The Yankees were beamed by the Rays 3-2. They square off again tonight at 7:10.
The Cubs won their third straight over the Mets 2-1. They play again at 2:20.

Syracuse Chiefs fell to Gwinnett 2-1. They played again at 10:30 this morning.

NBA
The Warriors took down The Grizzlies 98-78. The Warriors lead the series 3-2.
The Hawks beat the Wizards 82-81. The Hawks lead the series 3-2.

NHL Playoffs
The Rangers won last night’s Eastern Conference semifinal Game 7, 2-1 in an overtime thriller. The Rangers host Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.

SUNY Cortland
RIT men’s lacrosse broke open a tight game beating Cortland 18-7 in the NCAA Div. III Quarterfinals yesterday. The Red Dragons had a 14-game winning streak snapped and finished the season 16-5 and tied for fifth nationally.

Baseball rallied past Oberlin, 6-4 in the NCAA Baseball Opener yesterday. Cortland faces Amherst College in a winner’s bracket game Thursday in Auburn at 4:30 p.m.

Women’s lacrosse is hosting a four-team regional this Saturday and Sunday-first up: Augustana on Saturday at 11:30am
