Facing criticism, the lawyer hired by the NFL to investigate Deflate-Gate said yesterday that it’s “ridiculous” to suggest that he and the league were out to get the New England Patriots or Tom Brady.

The numbers are in: The Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao fight hauled in more than $500 million, plus a record 4.5 million U.S. pay-per-view buys. The previous buys record was 2.48 million, set by Mayweather’s win over Oscar De La Hoya in 2007 and the former revenue mark was $150 million for Mayweather’s 2013 victory over Canelo Alvarez.
