Speeding Vehicle Leads to Arrest of Wanted Man For Assault

On Tuesday, March 25th New York State Police say a Trooper observed a vehicle speeding on Route 41 in the Town of Homer and conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, the driver of the vehicle was identified as 38 year old Casey Adam Brown, who was wanted by State Police.

Back on February 1st, State Police were dispatched to a domestic dispute on Route 41 in the Town of Homer. A victim in the dispute reported that Brown had struck them in the head and caused injury. The victim did not want to be transported to a local hospital, State Police said in a release. Brown had already left for another trailer prior to State Police being able to interview him on the dispute.

State Police applied for a warrant for Brown Arrest, which was granted by a Judge for the charge of Assault in the 3rd, a Misdemeanor. Brown was taken into custody on the 25th and transported to the Cortland County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.
