Homer Police and other area law enforcement agencies waited tables last night at Applebee’s in Cortland to benefit the Special Olympics.
Officers were joined by athletes and coaches and raised about $600.
These donations will benefit Team New York at the USA Games.
Up next is the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics that will be in the village of Homer on June 18th. Law enforcement from surrounding areas and their family members will join athletes as they will be carrying the “Flame of Hope” from the Homer Fire Department to Durkee Park.
