Tonight, from 5pm to 9pm, is a good night to go to Applebee’s in Cortland as the restaurant (along with 37 other locations) will be joined by Special Olympic New York Athletes and volunteers to raise funds and awareness for their organization.
“We rely on our communities to come out and support their local athletes at events like these,” said Stacey Hengsterman, President and CEO of Special Olympics NY. “They never disappoint. We can’t wait to see them Thursday night.”
The volunteers attending the event include members of local law enforcement, coaches, family members, volunteers, and Unified Sports partners. All donations will go directly to support the athletes of the New York Special Olympics.
