The Cortland County Legislature will hold a special meeting at 6:00 Monday (September 9) night to review a draft proposal of the 2020 County budget.
It will likely be the first of many workshop meetings, over the course of what legislative officials have described as a very tough budget season ahead.
Currently, Cortland County faces a multi-million dollar deficit in 2020.
These meetings are intended for legislators to work through the budgeting process and try to improve upon this estimation.
A Board of Ethics meeting will also be held Monday morning at 7:00, where officials will review the 2019 financial disclosure forms submitted by the county’s public officers.
Check back with us for more details on both of those meetings.
