Solvay Man Arrested After Domestic Dispute – Breaks Into Victims House Then Steals Vehicle

Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to an undisclosed location in the Town of Homer for a reported domestic dispute on Tuesday, September 19th.

The investigation found 22 year old Jaydin M. Hornbuckle of Solvay, NY, had forcibly made his way into the residence and after getting inside got into a physical altercation with the victim and forcibly stole the victims car keys.

After stealing the keys, Hornbuckle then stole the victims vehicle and fled the scene. The Sheriff’s Office says the victim was not injured during the altercation and the vehicle was recovered just a short time later.

Officers arrested charged Hornbuckle with Grand Larceny in the 3rd, Robbery in the 3rd, Burglary in the 2nd, Criminal Mischief in the 3rd, all Felonies, Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor, and Harassment in the 2nd, a Violation.

He was arraigned in Homer Town Court and remanded to the Cortland County Jail on $6,000 cash bail or $12,000 bond. Hornbuckle is due back in court next month.
