The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office has announced the office will be holding a snowmobile safety course on Saturday, February 11th, at the Cortlandville Fire Station at 999 Route 13, Cortland.
The course will be one day only and space is limited, the course will begin at 8am. The Sheriff’s Office says those ages 10 to 13 can now operate a snowmobile on land that allows snowmobiles, if they have completed a snowmobile safety training course that is recognized by the state. They must also be with someone who is at least 18 years of age. Those who are between the ages of 14 to 17 and have a certificate may operate the snowmobile without adult supervision.
