Area crews quickly smothered a fire this morning inside an apartment at Bellview Gardens on Kellogg Road in Cortland.
Early reports suggested it began with sparks in bathroom light fixture.
Initial calls came just before 8:30 am.
No injuries resulted.
The incident remains under investigation.
