State police say a 55-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car in the town of Skaneateles on Saturday (March 7).
Troopers responded to Hencoop Road where they say Michele M. Frank, of Skaneateles, was walking westbound along the shoulder of the road when she was hit by a westbound Toyota Prius being driven by a 91-year-old Skaneateles resident.
Frank was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced deceased. A female friend who was walking with her at the time was uninjured, as was the driver.
At this time, police don’t believe drugs or alcohol were a factor in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
