Sienna Polls 22nd CD Voters

Local News

Siena College and Time Warner Wednesday night released a poll of likely voters in the 22nd Congressional District.

Results from the 22nd District show:

  • Republican Claudia Tenney 35%
  • Democrat Kim Myers 30%
  • Upstate Jobs Party Martin Babinec 24%

All hope to replace retiring Republican Representative Richard Hanna.

Tenney’s lead is even bigger here in Cortland County, by 15 points over Myers and 17 over Babinec.

However, the results note that while Tenney is most known to voters, she is viewed unfavorably by nearly half, with a negative 34%-46% favorability rating.

Myers and Babinec each have small net positive favorability ratings, however, each is unknown to at least 43% of voters.

Top of the Ticket

The Siena poll shows Democrat Hillary Clinton leads Republican Donald Trump by eight points with women and Trump has a commanding 29-point lead with men in the 22nd Congressional District.

Sen. Chuck Schumer has a 25-point lead over challenger Wendy Long, according to poll results.

Ready to Help

Congressman Richard Hanna wrote the candidates saying he is committed to a smooth transition and looks forward to working with any of them.
