The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office hosted two mock DWI accidents last Friday, May 19th, for high school students in Marathon and McGraw.
Both mock DWI accidents were able to be done through a collaborative effort between multiple agencies. The accident demonstrations are to show students the possible consequences of poor decisions.
For Marathon, agencies that participated in the mock accident with the Sheriff’s Office were the Marathon Fire Department, Killawog Fire Department, and MAVAC. The McGraw demonstration had the McGraw, Cortland and Cincinnatus Fire Departments, TLC Ambulance, and the Cortland County Coroner’s Office.
