The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office has announced they will be conducting a high visibility engagement campaign through Labor Day, September 4th.
The campaign is part of the statewide STOP-DWI campaign. With Labor Day and the unofficial end of summer is considered one of the busiest travel times of the year. Area law enforcement will increase their patrols with both marked and unmarked vehicles.
The Sheriff’s Office reminds residents that they can make a difference by having a sober plan to get home safely. A free app is available to download titled “Have a Plan” that will help residents find a safe ride home.
