Sheriff’s Office Announces STOP-DWI Campaign For Holiday Season
Officers with the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in the state-wide STOP-DWI High Visibility Engagement Campaign for the holiday season. The campaign will begin next week on December 10th and continue through January 1st.
During the STOP-DWI campaign, motorists can expect to see an increase in police patrolling roadways in both marked and unmarked vehicles. Sobriety checkpoints will also be set up on major highways. The goal of this campaign is to reduce the dangers of drunk and impaired driving.
