The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to Walmart on Bennie Road in the Town of Cortlandville two more times this past week.
On Tuesday, May 2nd, officers responded to the store for a reported larceny. The report showed an individual failed to scan multiple items at the store’s self check-out before they left the store.
Officers were able to identify the suspect as 22 year old Ommar R. Watson of the Town of Rosedale. He was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor by officers. He was then transported to the Sheriff’s Office where he was later issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance.
Sheriff Officers responded to Walmart just a few days later, Sunday, May 7th, for another reported larceny.
Through the investigation by officers, it was determined 32 year old Dawn M. Radel of Cortlandville, left the store with merchandise she didn’t pay for. Radel was able to leave the store in a vehicle before officers arrived, but was found just down the road on Route 281.
Officers then conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle Radel was in and arrested her for Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor. She was transported to the Sheriff’s Office and later released on an appearance ticket.
