Sheriff Make Multiple Arrests at Walmart for Shoplifting

The Cortland County Sheriff responded to Walmart on Friday, June 2nd and on Sunday, June 4th for reported larceny complaints involving multiple people.


On Friday, June 2nd, officers from the Sheriff’s Office responded to the complaint at the store around 7pm. An investigation found 54 Debbra A. Wing of Cortland, had stolen items from the store. She was charged with Petit Larceny, a Misdemeanor. Wing was arrested and transported to the Sheriff’s Office where she was later released with an appearance ticket due back in Cortlandville Town Court later this month.


Officers responded back to Walmart on Sunday, June 4th, around 8pm. The larceny complaint was of two individuals who were using reusable shopping bags to steal items from the store. Both 43 year old Omar S. Harris-Raible and 38 year old Lacey J. Hallstead of Marathon were arrested and charged with Conspiracy in the 6th, and Petit Larceny, both Misdemeanors.

They were transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office and were later released on appearance tickets to return to Cortlandville Town Court later this month.
