Sheriff Make An Arrest After Infant Is Injured

Officers from the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office responded to an undisclosed residence in the Village of Homer to assist the Homer Police Department with an investigation of injuries to an infant.


Through the investigation, it showed 36 year old Bobbi N. Furman of Cortlandville, was entrusted with the care of the infant and had failed to provide adequate supervision which resulted in the infant sustaining multiple injuries while in her care.

On Tuesday, August 29th, Furman turned herself into the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office where she was arrested on charges of Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Reckless Endangerment in the 2nd, both Misdemeanors.

The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation remains ongoing.
